The redevelopment plans for 1956 Weston Road have evolved significantly. Originally approved in 2022 for 29 and 35 storeys, developer Weston Asset Management has resubmitted plans for a more ambitious project featuring 39- and 45-storey towers. Designed by KIRKOR Architects and Planners, the updated proposal increases the unit count to 774 and shifts the housing mix toward larger layouts, including 373 two-bedroom and 115 three-bedroom units. The project also prioritizes transit-oriented density, located just 350 metres from the Weston GO/UP Express station, and includes a 786m² grocery store and a 316m² non-profit community space within a retained heritage structure. With the Floor Space Index now reaching 11 times coverage, this project reflects the ongoing intensification of the Weston Village corridor.
