SkyTower Reaches 100 Storeys: New Heights for Toronto Real Estate

Toronto’s skyline continues to evolve as Pinnacle International celebrates a major milestone: the completion of the 100th storey of SkyTower, set to be Canada’s tallest skyscraper. Located at One Yonge, this ambitious project promises to redefine luxury living and reshape the city’s waterfront.

The SkyTower is part of Pinnacle’s expansive One Yonge “master-plan” development, a mixed-use complex envisioned to include residences, hotels, retail spaces, and inviting outdoor areas. Reaching a final height of 106 storeys, the tower offers breathtaking views, with the 100th floor nearly at eye level with the CN Tower’s observation deck. Imagine gazing down at the Gardiner Expressway, where cars appear minuscule, and even 25-storey buildings seem small in comparison.

The residential component of SkyTower will feature 958 units, with prices ranging from approximately $1 million to a staggering $30 million for the penthouse. Anson Kwok, vice-president of sales and marketing at Pinnacle, anticipates welcoming residents and hotel guests as early as next spring or summer. The lower levels will house the Marriott’s Le Meridien Toronto Pinnacle Hotel, offering 223 suites to visitors.

Designed by Hariri Pontarini Architects, the tower’s upper floors will offer a more exclusive living experience. While most floors will house 12 residential units, the top 20 floors will feature fewer units – seven, six, or four – ensuring ample space and privacy. Units up to the 88th floor will boast balconies, allowing residents to enjoy the stunning city views.

Beyond SkyTower, the One Yonge development includes two additional towers of 95 and 65 storeys on the north block, creating a dynamic and vibrant urban hub. The future of the south block is still under consideration, with Pinnacle exploring options including additional towers or converting the former Toronto Star headquarters into a luxury hotel. This project aims to revitalize the existing building, which is currently 87% vacant, while long-term development plans are finalized.

With an expected completion date in 2026, SkyTower is poised to become a landmark addition to the Toronto skyline, offering a unique blend of luxury living, hospitality, and retail experiences. This development represents a significant investment in Toronto’s real estate market, solidifying its position as a global city.
