Amica Retirement Residence Nears Completion in Etobicoke

Construction of Amica Islington Village, a 9-storey retirement residence at Dundas and Burnhamthorpe in Etobicoke, is nearing completion. Replacing a former strip plaza, the development by Amica Senior Lifestyles, Trinity Development Group, and Succession Development Corporation, will introduce 199 rental suites to the Islington–City Centre West neighbourhood. Designed by Montgomery Sisam Architects, the building features a stepped massing and a chamfered corner at the podium. As of February 2026, the concrete structure has reached its full height, with work progressing on the mechanical penthouse. The 40.3m building has white weatherproofing on the first three levels and glazing installed on the second storey. For more details and images, visit the original article on UrbanToronto.ca.
